Meet Stacey: Microlearning Explainer Video for Pitch Deck

How do you turn a data platform into a story that resonates with sponsors?

I created a concise microlearning explainer video for the sales enablement team, empowering pharmaceutical sponsors to navigate and maximize the platform’s features easily.

Audience: Pharmaceutical companies

Responsibilities: Needs analysis, instructional design (action mapping, storyboarding, prototype, full build), communication with SMEs, visual and graphic design, eLearning development

Tools Used: PowToon, Canva, Google Suite

Background

The sales enablement team sought a compelling way to communicate the platform’s value to prospective pharmaceutical sponsors. They already used slide decks and technical walkthroughs to explain centralized data access, real-time visibility, and portfolio oversight. However, they wanted a more engaging approach. Sales representatives needed a concise, engaging way to demonstrate how the platform simplifies complex study management. Solution

I created a multimedia video using a storytelling approach. The narrative follows Stacy, a business development professional, who faces a client meeting without access to up-to-date study information. Through Stacy’s experience, the video illustrates the dashboard’s value and impact in a relatable, memorable way.

Process Overview

I worked closely with stakeholders to identify messaging priorities and highlight key differentiators. Using these insights, I developed a detailed storyboard to shape narrative flow and visual sequencing, ensuring clarity and engagement throughout. I then designed branded visual layouts and supporting graphics to reinforce the organization’s identity.

I selected Synthesia as the primary video tool to ensure a streamlined, professional production. Throughout development, I refined the messaging based on sales team feedback, sharpening both clarity and persuasive impact for our target audience.

Results & Impact

The final video received strong feedback from the sales enablement team and quickly became a powerful tool for engaging pharmaceutical sponsors. Team members emphasized that the narrative approach made complex features accessible and memorable, enhancing sales presentations. By using relatable storytelling, the video increased engagement in sales conversations and helped position the platform as a preferred solution for sponsors.
