Preparing Sponsors to Adopt a
New Platform
Step into the world of clinical data management: interactive e-learning that guides pharmaceutical companies to quickly understand, navigate, and gain oversight of their portfolio of studies.

Synopsis Connect is the flagship digital learning platform, helping pharmaceutical sponsors quickly interpret complex data through centralized dashboards. It converts data into clear, actionable insights tied to study-level progress while maintaining strict security and compliance standards. The platform enables sponsors to oversee outsourced projects at both the individual and portfolio level by consolidating information from multiple sources.
The launch strategy focused on introducing the platform to sponsors. Initially, this involved sharing static dashboard screenshots and descriptive text. I wanted to move beyond static screenshots to create an interactive, engaging experience that truly showcased the platform.
My Role
As the sole instructional designer, I defined learning objectives and performance outcomes and created a sponsor-facing welcome package with three key assets:
Interactive Digital User Guide: Flipbook with layered guidance and real-time insights.
Orientation Video (“Meet Stacey”: Multimedia story of a user discovering Connect.
Promotional Video: Highlighted capabilities and reinforced functionality for external stakeholders.
I designed learning activities to ensure a seamless, enterprise-ready onboarding experience, all aligned to strict security and compliance standards.
Process and Approach
Leadership initially requested a static PDF guide for external clients. Recognizing that a paper guide would neither engage users nor showcase the platform’s dynamic capabilities, I proposed a digital solution to deliver an immersive sponsor experience.
To execute this vision, I researched, advocated for, and secured a FlippingBook license. Despite being new to the tool, I quickly learned its features and independently built the interactive guide while meeting strict security and compliance requirements.
To provide secure external access without exposing internal systems, I coordinated with IT to provision dedicated cloud space via FlippingBook and created specialized job aids for compliant onboarding.
Results & Impact
The project was a resounding success. We met all critical launch deadlines and established a scalable digital blueprint for the Connect brand. External sponsors and their internal users gave highly positive feedback on the product’s modules and delivery mechanism.
Stakeholders reported that the content was informative and clearly explained how the product worked for users. The enablement package remains the single source of sponsor onboarding, with all assets continuing to be used and updated as the product evolves.
